What this covers

This policy applies to the LocoLarp website, the Android application identified as com.aetherpin.app, and LocoLarp Desktop for Windows.

On-device app data

Saved locations and history stay on-device (Android) or in the Windows user profile (Desktop). The apps do not require an LocoLarp account to store pins. The license key is stored locally.

Network services the app may use

Map tiles come from CARTO/OpenStreetMap. Search may use the device geocoder and Nominatim. Walk and car movement sends start and end coordinates to OpenStreetMap routing (OSRM). We do not claim zero tracking. Those providers process requests under their own policies.

Licenses and payment claims

Checkout uses Stripe. Stripe processes the card and the email on the receipt. Week and month plans are Stripe subscriptions, so Stripe stores the customer and payment method to charge later periods. We store the order, plan, amount, Stripe checkout session id, customer and subscription ids, that email if Stripe sends it, and the issued key. We do not store full card numbers. Admin logs record sign-in, key issue, redeem, and payment confirmation. In-app support tickets store a random device id, the message text, app/Android version, and the last characters of a key if one is pasted — not a name or email. Replies may be copied to Discord or Telegram so staff can answer there. Do not submit payment screenshots that contain unrelated personal data.

This website

Marketing pages are documentation. Maps on the website are CSS mockups and do not load live map APIs. Stripe checkout stores the invoice and the issued key so payment can be matched. There is no customer password on this site.

If the site is hosted by a third party, that host may collect standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request path) as part of delivering the pages.

We do not sell personal data

We do not sell location history. We do not claim a public install count or a Google Play listing in this policy.

Children

LocoLarp is intended for people who can enable Android Developer Options, typically adults using a device they control.
