Privacy in the app

What stays on the phone

• Saved presets (pins, walks, and drives)
• Recent history in the app
• Your last pin and simulation status

There is no LocoLarp account for this data. Uninstalling the app removes the local store.

What may leave the phone

• Map tiles come from CARTO/OpenStreetMap when the map is shown.
• Search may use the device geocoder and Nominatim when you type a place name.
• Walk / car routes send start and end coordinates to OpenStreetMap routing (OSRM) when you preview or start movement mode.

We do not claim “zero tracking.” Tile and search providers operate their own logs under their policies.

What we do not do

• We do not hide mock flags from other apps.
• We do not sell a stealth or anti-detect mode.
• This documentation site does not need API keys for maps — the website map is a CSS mockup.
